Recommendation: Ideal riflescope for sport shooting - especially training, competition and long range shooting

Many manufacturers subdivide the various Scope lines basically into a Favourable and a premium class. This means that a Cheap glass for the less affluent customer and the expensive for the financially strong customer. In a broader sense, this leads to brand management perspective to a kind of "club compulsion" and many are saving up for a premium product and have to make sacrifices on other very important issues such as the Save on ZF assembly (a big mistake).

The ideal riflescope for sport shooting

This category is primarily about the use of the telescopic sight and the price relationship to the rifle. It will probably make no sense to switch to a KK rifle (22lr) to mount a 1000€ target optic for 300€.

For high-precision long guns in the Precision calibre 338 Lapua or 308 Win when wide Shots up to e.g. 1000 m the situation looks a little different. Here, a 5-30 variable magnification will be more suitable. For the dynamic IPSC shooting an optic with a 25 or 42 mm objective lens and a large field of view for rapid target acquisition will be the best.
