The role of the Federation of National Hunters
The Federation of National Hunters (FNC) is the representative body of all territories in France and has the task of promoting and defending hunting and representing the interests of hunters at national level.
As a recognised partner of the government and public authorities, the FNC is consulted by the Ministry responsible for hunting on issues relating to hunting heritage, the protection of wild animals and their habitats and the conditions under which hunting is practised.
The FNC plays an important role in the development and implementation of hunting policy and legislation. It is committed to the conservation and sustainable utilisation of wildlife populations and their habitats. The FNC also works to preserve and promote hunting as a cultural heritage.
As a representative of hunters, the FNC works closely with other relevant organisations to achieve common goals. These include the exchange of information and best practices, the promotion of research and education in the field of hunting and cooperation on nature conservation projects.
The FNC plays an important role in the political and legal debates surrounding hunting. It campaigns for the interests of hunters, both with regard to the practice of hunting and the conservation and protection of nature. The FNC works actively to promote understanding of hunting in society and to break down prejudices.
