Presented at the end of November 2023 Savage Arms the new ultralight model series Weapon series KLYM, which as First American hunting weapons are equipped with an FBT carbon fibre shaft as standard!
FBT has thus successfully entered the US market.
All straight pull repeaters IMPULSE and standard repeaters Model 110 are now equipped with our UNIC carbon stocks!
A new series of hunting rifles, developed in collaboration with Savage Arms from Massachusetts and is now set to revolutionise the US market. Equipped with carbon fibre stocks "Made in Gröbming", these rifles represent a ground-breaking quality that is causing a stir in the USA.

This successful co-operation has led to the creation of a new series of hunting rifles that represent a significant step in the development of hunting equipment.
The "KLYM" hunting rifle from Savage Arms, an extension of the famous Savage 110 series, is an answer to the requirements of modern hunters.
The Savage 110 series of hunting rifles has been renowned for its quality for decades. Nevertheless, Savage Arms are not resting on their laurels, but have created a new dynasty with the KLYM series.
The KLYM series was developed in collaboration with PROOF Research and Fine Ballistic Tools (FBT) to set new standards for rifles designed for the most demanding remote hunting trips.
The KLYM series offers some of the lightest and most robust riflesavailable on the market today. It spans Savage's proven 110 and Impulse platforms to give shooters the choice between a straight-pull action and a traditional action.
Each model comes with an exclusive, with Carbon fibre wrapped stainless Run from PROOF Research. Combined with FBT's custom-made UNIC carbon fibre stock, these rifles allow hunters to hunt further and more accurately with less weight.
"The KLYM series is truly revolutionary for mountain hunting," said Beth Shimanski, Marketing Director at Savage. "PROOF and FBT have taken us to the next level.
Hunters who are used to long hunts and expeditions to remote areas with numerous climbs will appreciate the lightweight platform that guarantees precision and reliability."
Other important aspects of the co-operation were the efforts of Fine Ballistic Tools GmbH. In a Statement from Savage Arms was emphasised: "We had actually been looking for a suitable partner for a while for Carbon shafts.
Due to the high production volume one of our goals is to make innovations or features that you would normally go to a gunsmith or customised manufacturer for standard. "ex works" to offer. We have therefore entered into a partnership with Fine Ballistic Tool from Austria.
They represent the Front and rear stock as standard carbon fibre part the centrepiece is 3D-printed. This meant that we could simply send them our measurements and within few weeks we had shafts to test.
You don't wait 16 to 20 weeks for a complete mould to be built to run tests. The speed with which they have helped us to bring these products to the market has far exceeded our expectations."

Fine Ballistic Tools | Step into the USA
Since September 2023, we have also had our own subsidiary in Ogden, Utah (USA). The town of Ogden is the birthplace of John Moses Browingprobably the most important weapons designer ever - so the signs are good!
Through our own US branch all FBT products from Gröbming can also be sold directly to end customers in the USA and local customer service can be offered.
